Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) offers a Lighting Program for commercial customers to help offset the cost of retrofitting facilities. A BTU energy service advisor will survey the existing facility and then compute load reduction, estimated costs, rebates and resulting annual savings from the proposed retrofit. Rebate amounts are based on the project's kilo-watt demand reduction. After the retrofit has been completed, and the final inspection has been made, rebates are paid directly to the customer. Rebates must not exceed 50% of the project cost. Additional energy efficiency programs offered by BTU can be found on the web site listed above.
