Blue Grass Energy, a Touchstone Energy® Cooperative, offers the Energy-Efficiency Improvements (EEI) program, where a trained energy advisor will identify areas of concern in the envelope of the home and provide the member with informational fliers recommending energy-efficiency improvements. Rebates are available only to members with electrically heated homes, and homes must be at least two years old. Blue Grass Energy will pay up to $200 for weatherization improvements such as adding insulation, replacing windows, air sealing, and/or making insulation more effective. An additional $150 rebate is available for sealing duct work.
Under the Touchstone Energy® Home program, the energy advisor works with the member/builder on the new home to certify it with the EPA as an Energy Star® home. The Energy Star® label increases the value and efficiency of a home as well as the resale value. This program is available to any member building an electrically-heated home. Computer analysis and home performance testing are provided free through this program and have a value of $500
