Equipment Requirements Heat Pump/AC: 14 SEER minimum

Duct Leak Repair/Replacement: ducts must be sealed using mastic or a combination of mastic duct sealant and mesh, pressure sensitive foil tape (UL 181AP) or heat sensitive foil tape (UL 181AH)
Attic Insulation Upgrade: minimum upgrade to R-19 insulation or higher (batting, blanket, board, sprayed-on or blown-in) in existing attic levels and/or minimum upgrade to R-11 insulation or higher (batting, blanket or board form) in existing raised flooring levels
Window Film/Solar Screen: Shading Coefficient (SC) of film or screen must be 0.5 or less






Installation Requirements Heat Pumps: must be installed by an authorized State of Florida Certified Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Ventilation (HARV) or mechanical contractor

Summary

Beaches Energy Services offers rebates to residential customers as an incentive to install qualifying energy-efficient equipment, insulation upgrades, and duct leak repairs in existing homes. New construction does not qualify for any of the rebates. Rebates are available for air conditioners, heat pumps, programmable thermostats, window film/solar screens, ceiling insulation upgrades, and duct repair/replacement. Equipment must meet certain energy efficiency standards listed on the program web site. The rebate applications can be downloaded from the program web site, and applications must be submitted within 60 days or project completion.
