Jump to: navigation, search

"The Asia Least-Cost Greenhouse Gas Abatement Study (ALGAS) project was designed to help Asian developing countries identify cost-effective GHG emission reduction or sink enhancement initiatives. It was supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the UN Development Programme and the Asian Development Bank. In 1996-97, LBNL helped to coordinate the technical assistance for mitigation assessments conducted by 12 participating countries. The support included participation in training workshops and assistance with specific studies."[1]
