The City of Ashland Conservation Division offers electric customers installing photovoltaic systems a rebate of either $0.75 per watt (residential) or $1.00 per watt (commercial), up to a maximum of $7,500 per system. In order to qualify, a solar electric system needs a total solar resource fraction of at least 75%, and no shading by a tree between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Systems must be interconnected with the City's electrical grid and net metered.
