These regulations describe allowable activities within aquifer protection areas, the procedure by which such areas are delineated, and relevant permit requirements. The regulations also describe application procedures for requesting an exemption for a given activity. Regulated activities include the storage of hazardous material; repair or maintenance requiring the use, storage, or disposal of hazardous materials; wastewater discharges other than domestic sewage water and stormwater; generation of electrical power with fossil fuels other than natural gas or propane; and storage, handling, recycling, disposal, reduction, processing, or composting of solid waste.
