Summary

Efficiency Smart™ provides energy efficiency incentives and technical assistance to the American Municipal Power, Inc (AMP) network of public power communities. The Efficiency Smart service organization assists residential, commercial, and industrial customers to install energy efficient equipment and systems. Efficiency Smart, which started in January 2011, is funded and supported by 49 member communities. All residential, commercial, and industrial customers of communities that have subscribed to Efficiency Smart are eligible to receive services, including technical assistance to assess energy efficiency opportunities and financial incentives directly to customers. Vendors, suppliers, and contractors also work with Efficiency Smart to find ways to provide energy efficient solutions. Rebates are available for projects that include energy-efficient lighting, HVAC, motors, compressed air, refrigeration, food service, and more.

The Business Energy Rebates Program offers pre-set rebates for small to medium sized businesses with an annual electricity usage between 20,000 kWh and 500,000 kWh. Standard rebates are available for more than 90 energy-efficient products and services for program-eligible businesses through the prescriptive program.

A custom program with project-specific incentives is also available to program-eligible businesses with facilities that use more than 500,000 kWh annually. Please contact info@efficiencysmart.org or 877-889-3777 prior to beginning a project to confirm program and incentive-level eligibility.
