Equipment Requirements Refrigerators/Freezers: Appliance being replaced must be operable, manufactured before 1993, used as a secondary unit, and be 10-27 cubic feet in size.

Energy star appliances: include Energy Star Window Air conditioner; Energy Star Heat Pump Water Heaters, Energy Star Ceiling Fans; and Energy Star Dehumidifier.
HVAC must be SEER 14.5 or higher.




Funding Source Illinois Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard (EEPS)

Installation Requirements HVAC: must be installed by Ameren approved-list of HVAC contractors.


Maximum Incentive Lighting: Purchases limited to 20 CFLs per customer per year

Refrigerator/Freezer Recycling: $70 (limit of 2 per customer per program year)

Summary

Ameren Illinois Utilities (AmerenIP, AmerenCIPS, and AmerenCILCO) offer residential customers incentives for certain energy efficiency upgrades and improvements. Incentives are currently available to residential homeowners for lighting, refrigerator/freezer recycling, certain ENERGY STAR appliances, and HVAC upgrades. Lighting incentives are offered through purchase discounts while other equipment rebates are issued through rebates. Appliances must be certified as ENERGY STAR and all HVAC equipment must meet the program requirements listed on the program web site.
