Summary

Stationary sources, including fossil fuel fired steam or hot water generating units, may be required to install and operate a continuous emissions monitoring system equipped with an opacity monitor with audio alarm. The devices will be calibrated to sound the alarm at 20 percent opacity and operate continuously during fuel combustion. Data from the monitoring system will be reported to the Department of Environmental Management.
