This rule applies to any generator that: (a) has a heat input capacity of 350,000 Btus or more per hour or, in the case of internal combustion engines, is 50 HP or larger; and, (b) is not subject to or would not cause a facility to be subject to the RI major source permitting requirements. Generators whose engines are non-road engines will be exempt from compliance with the requirements of this rule. The regulations describe the permitting process, emissions standards, and monitoring requirements that must be met by these systems.
