Summary

This program regulates and limits air emissions from a variety of sources within Maine through a statewide permitting program. Separate regulations exist for limiting emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), particulate matter (PM), and carbon monoxide (CO) from smaller-scale electricity generating resources. Affected electricity generating resources are non-mobile generators having a capacity equal to or greater than 50 kilowatts installed on or after January 1, 2005.
