Financial Incentive Program
|Name||AEP Texas - Commercial and Industrial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program|
|Incentive Type||Utility Rebate Program|
|Applicable Sector||Commercial, Industrial|
|Eligible Technologies||Custom/Others pending approval|
|Energy Category||Energy Efficiency Incentive Programs|
|Amount||175/kW for peak demand reduction and 0.060/kWh for annual energy savings|
|Program Administrator||AEP Southwestern Electric Power|
AEP's Commercial Standard Offer Program pays incentives to service providers who install energy efficiency measures in non-residential facilities that are located within AEP's Texas service territories. These facilities must have a maximum demand of more than 100 kW and must receive their electricity from AEP Texas Central Company, AEP Southwestern Electric Power (Texas service territory only) or AEP Texas North Company. This program does not prescribe technologies or end uses, but instead provides a framework through which service providers can receive incentives for implementing and installing a wide range of measures at customer sites. Incentives are paid for both energy and demand savings, and the installed measures must have the potential to reduce peak summer demand by at least 10 kW, except for projects that are self-sponsored, for which there is no minimum kW. Incentives are $175/kW for peak demand reduction and $0.060/kWh for annual energy savings. Interested customers should submit both an initial and final application form to the AEP operating company that services the customer facility.
