Appalachian Power and Wheeling Power are offering incentives under the APCo HomeSMART program to facilitate the implementation of cost-effective energy efficiency improvements for residential customers.
In order to qualify for rebates, customers must have received a completed free in-home assessment by Appalachian Power. An energy efficiency specialist will be sent to examine the customer’s home, generate a custom assessment report on the home and install simple low-cost energy efficiency improvements with the homeowner’s permission. In addition, the customer can request an assessment be performed by a contractor at a market based price.
Measures can be installed by a licensed contractor participating in the network or self-installed and inspected afterwards. Once work is completed by the contractor and paperwork has been submitted, a rebate check will be sent.
