Overview

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is planning a study entitled the Economics of Climate Change and Low Carbon Growth Strategies in Northeast Asia, covering the People's Republic of China (PRC), Japan, the Republic of Korea, and Mongolia. The Government of the Republic of Korea will cofinance the study. The project seeks to address climate change issues in these countries and suggest growth strategies aimed at achieving "green growth" and low carbon societies. The proposed study will capitalize on a similar study for Southeast Asian countries. The objectives, scope, implementation arrangements, and financing plan of the technical assistance (TA) are reflected in this paper. The design and monitoring framework is in Appendix 1.
