Description	This dataset presents summary information related to world geothermal energy. It is part of a supporting dataset for the book World On the Edge: How to Prevent Environmental and Economic Collapse by Lester R. Brown, available from the Earth Policy Institute. This geothermal energy dataset includes the following cumulative installed geothermal electricity-generating capacity data: World (1950 - 2010), by country (1990 - 2010), and in the U.S. (1990 - 2010), as well as confirmed U.S. geothermal projects under development as of May 2010.
