Thoughts after the Geothermal Regulatory Roadmap Advisory Meeting

The most recent meeting of the Advisory Group occurred on July 19th.  This was a big event for the team, as it was the first real project review meeting since we kicked off the meetings to develop flow charts.   I was really happy with the meeting outcomes.  We had a lot of constructive feedback from the group, and the consensus that the project is on a good course continues to build over time.

Developing the Geothermal Regulatory Roadmap requires a lot of work from many people in many organizations.  I wish there was a way to thank each of you individually, but please know that we appreciate your efforts.

One of the best parts of the meeting for me was the closing, where we asked the Advisory Group whether they were willing to continue future meetings.  Not only was the response “yes”, but also multiple suggestions to provide additional support to the effort.  For an effort that will succeed or fail based on how well it achieves interagency collaborations I thought this was a good sign.
