Description
The renewable energy rate (R) shall be applicable to all residential and non-residential service customers who select electricity generated by renewable energy resources in lieu of electricity provided by the city from traditional generation sources and administered through other tariffs. Renewable energy resources include solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, new hydroelectricity with a nameplate capacity rating of ten megawatts or less, hydroelectricity in existence on January 1, 2005 with a nameplate capacity rating of thirty megawatts or less, and renewable energy certificates (RECs) associated with electric generation from any of the above-listed renewable resources.
